Modern Slavery Statement
Last updated: 28 October 2026
OCCTA LIMITED has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking in our business and supply chain. We're below the turnover threshold that makes a statement mandatory under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, but we publish this statement voluntarily and review it every year.
Our business
OCCTA is a UK telecommunications provider based in Huddersfield, supplying broadband, Digital Voice and SIM services to residential and business customers. We buy wholesale connectivity from regulated UK network providers and mobile network operators, and equipment such as routers from established distributors. Our own team is based in the UK.
Our supply chain and risks
Our main suppliers are regulated UK telecoms wholesalers and network operators, where the risk of modern slavery is assessed as low. The areas of higher risk in our sector are:
- electronics manufacturing (routers, ONTs, handsets and SIM cards), including raw-material sourcing such as minerals;
- outsourced field services, such as installation and cabling contractors; and
- facilities services such as cleaning, logistics and couriers.
Our policies and practices
- We expect suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and equivalent laws, respect the ILO core labour standards, and apply the same expectations to their own suppliers.
- We favour suppliers who publish their own modern slavery statements and responsible-sourcing policies.
- We comply with National Minimum Wage and right-to-work law for everyone we employ.
- We will terminate supplier relationships where serious breaches are found and not remedied.
Our commitments for the year ahead
- Ask key suppliers, particularly equipment suppliers, for their modern slavery statements and responsible-sourcing policies.
- Include modern slavery expectations when we take on new suppliers.
- Make sure anyone involved in buying for OCCTA knows the signs of modern slavery and how to raise a concern.
- Review this statement and our supplier list annually.
