Mobile Data Not Working? Check Your APN
If calls and texts work but mobile data doesn't, the APN (Access Point Name) is the usual cause.
Check the basics first
Mobile data switched on, Aeroplane mode off, and data roaming on if you're abroad. Restart the phone.
Setting the APN
The correct APN depends on the network your plan uses and is included in your SIM setup information. Most phones set it automatically.
- iPhone: Settings → Mobile Service → Mobile Data Network.
- Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Access Point Names.
- Enter the details exactly as given, save and restart.
