No Signal or Poor Mobile Coverage

Signal problems are usually about location, the phone or a temporary network issue. Here's how to tell which.

    Quick checks

    Try these first:

    • Restart the phone and toggle Aeroplane mode on and off.
    • Check network selection is set to automatic.
    • Try the SIM in another phone, or another SIM in your phone.
    • Clean the SIM and tray and reseat it.

    Check coverage

Use your network's (O2, Vodafone or EE) online coverage checker for your postcode. Coverage indoors can be weaker, especially in thick-walled or new-build homes — Wi-Fi calling can help there.

    Report it

If you've lost signal where it used to work, raise a ticket with the postcode, the times, and your phone model. We'll check for network issues and the SIM's status.
