Understanding your Contract Summary
In short
The Contract Summary is a regulator-required plain-English document that shows exactly what you are agreeing to. Here is how to read it.
Before we activate any service, Ofcom requires us to send you a Contract Summary and Contract Information document. You must accept it before we commit the order. This exists to protect you.
What is on your Contract Summary
- The service (broadband / voice / SIM) and speeds where applicable.
- Monthly price (including VAT for residential customers).
- Any one-off charges (setup, engineer, router).
- Contract length — for OCCTA this is normally rolling with no lock-in.
- Notice period to cancel.
- Any early termination charges (should be £0 for our rolling plans).
- Your rights during the 14-day cooling-off period.
What you should check before accepting
- The plan name and speed match what you ordered.
- The monthly price matches what you saw at checkout.
- Any one-off charges are listed and expected.
- Your address is correct.
What happens when you accept
Accepting is a legal step. We store the accepted PDF and its cryptographic hash so both sides can prove exactly what was agreed. Only after acceptance do we commit the order to the network.
If any part of your Contract Summary looks wrong, do NOT accept — reply to the email or open the chat bubble and we'll fix it.
